Paul Gunning is an American actor born in Manchester New Hampshire.  A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts New York City. He has appeared in leading and supporting roles in independent feature films and on television.  

Paul is best known for his theatrical stage roles on the L.A. Theatre scene and has been recognized by audiences, critics, and the Los Angeles Theatre Alliance for his commitment to excellence.  

 

He received the L.A. Theatre Critics Drama-Logue Award for Best Actor for his performance as AL in Jane Anderson's THE BABY DANCE directed by Jessica Kubzansky. The production ran for six months to sold out audiences.  

He played JOE in Clifford Odets' WAITING FOR LEFTY directed by Charlie Mount. The critically acclaimed production received an OVATION Award Nomination for Best Play.

 

He played LESLIE in Edward Albee's SEASCAPE directed by Charlie Mount.  Also challenging himself as a first time costume designer, he created the character's lizard costumes and make-up which earned him an OVATION nomination for Best Costume Design.

 

He played HAMLET in the world premier comedy CLASSIC COUPLES COUNSELING written by Lloyd J. Schwartz, directed by Ted Lange, nominated Best Play VALLEY THEATRE Awards.

He played ALBERT BECK in the world premier play MARTIANS AN EVENING WITH RAY BRADBURY created by Jeff Rack and Charlie Mount, directed by Jeff Rack.
